3 Cards: What message does balance have for you?
Temperance is about balance and bringing that balance in.
Welcome to 3 Cards. Each month I take three tarot cards and look at how different decks bring in different meanings. That’s one of the things I love about tarot is how the creators play with themes and variations and we aim to explore that in this series.
It is also one of those cards that can be elusive for me. It can be hard to know what to do with this card when it pops up. Balance is considered a good thing but can you have too much balance? Most of us know the not enough balance and the extremes that Temperance calls us back from.
Animalis os Fortuna
This deck features a whale on it swimming through the ocean. This deck brings in a sense of peace for me. It says to me that I can just keep swimming along and it will be all right. That life can swing to and fro but it will always come back to the midline once things calm down. That the midline can be found if you pay attention to what you are doing and don’t get caught up in the drama.
Are you feeding the drama in your life or are you acknowledging what’s happening and letting flow happen? Can you find the midline and what does it look like for you? Is living in extremes working out for you?
Mythic Tarot 80’s verson
This deck was my first one ever and this remains one of my favorite Temperance cards. It features Iris who is the messenger of the Gods on Mount Olympus. She brings messages to us from the divine. She’ also has a very you have this balance vibe for me. That the balance is already inside of you and Iris is here to help you bring it out. To balance out your silver and gold strands running thought you and bring out your inner rainbow.
What needs to come to the surface for you and how can that balance things out? What messages are coming to you? Will you let your energy be in balance?
Starchild Akashic Tarot
This deck makes me think of what I am offering up to the Universe and those around me. How am I presenting my energy? What am I doing with that energy? It is more of a call to action for me then the other two cards. She’s all knowing and power. She knows the balance is already there and that sometimes it is what you decide to do with that balance that really matters.
What are you doing with your energy and how can balance help you make the most of it? Do you share your energy or hold on to it?
