3 Card Interpreting the Tarot, Three Tarot Cards

Strength: Where does it live in you?

Strength: Where does it live in you?

How do you interpret three different cards? That’s what this series explores.

The impact that the deck choice has on your reading.

Strength: Where does it live in you?

Animalis Os Fortuna
Strength

This deck used a Badger to portray strength. Badgers are extremely strong animals that can be very tenacious when they want to be. They are known for their willing to protect themselves that can be very vicious but they also can be very playful with other badgers. Badgers carry with them the worth of strength when we look at this card on an energetic level. Do you consider yourself worthy of being strong? It is a call to look at how you view Strength in your life and how being strong shows up or does not show up.

Mythic Tarot (the 80’s version)

Strength

We have an older variation of the Strength card here that features Hercules. He is the epitome of Strength in the Greco-Roman Tradition. Hercules can take on just about anything physically that is thrown at him. He is seen here with a bent sword and a dropped club subduing a lion with his body and nothing else. Hercules gives us a Strength that is sure of what it can do there is no doubt in his mind he can take this lion out if he wants to. It focuses more on the physical aspect of Strength it brings in the understanding that the body needs to be strong in order to help our lives flow along.

Starchild Tarot Akashic
Strength

This deck brings in the more traditional variation of Strength with a female and a lion. It is that combination of love and trust that brings her and the lion together. It focuses on union over physical strength and endurance. She’s confident and knowing, she has the power in her to bring the lion to her with love. She can trust enough to let the Universe work for her. This Deck really brings in the feeling of knowing have this, the energy is already in you let it out. It is the heart and the will that guide you with the love and trust aspects. Keep in mind trust is not blind it is earned and sometimes even challenged.

Strength: Where does it live in you?

Thought Prompt
How many times have you challenged your trust of self and how did that work out? What brings the together love and trust/hear and will for you?

A word on numbering in the Tarot concerning

Strength and Justice.

This is card can be card eight or card eleven in the tarot. It and Justice get a bit weird here. Rider-Waite uses Strength as number eight as it fits better astrologically according to this deck but eight is also a number of balance so Justice fits there too. For me it is neither here nor there when reading it just is what the deck uses. I tend towards the more modern Rider-Waite progression then the older. Chose what feels right for you or flow between both of them it is up to you.
