3 Card Interpreting the Tarot, Three Tarot Cards

Three High Priestesses: The Daring Woman

Three High Priestesses: The Daring Woman

Welcome to 3 Cards. Each month I take three tarot cards and look at how different decks bring in different meanings. That’s one of the things I love about tarot is how the creators play with themes and variations and we aim to explore that in this series.

Three High Priestesses: The Daring Woman

The High Priestess – Animalis Os Fortuna

Calm, serene, and powerful is the feeling this card evokes. She glides along knowingly, there is no doubt in her. The High Priestess Swan is the embodiment of grace in more than one manner. She holds grace in her soul and the power of knowing what being in the stream of the Universe can bring her. She is also physical grace and beauty, while these attributes may seem superficial it is the inner grace that makes the physical so potent. It is the inner qualities she calls to us to bring into our lives.

How do you define grace? Where does it show up in your life?

The High Priestess – The Mythic Tarot 80’s version

We see Persephone standing between two pillars on a staircase that leads out to golden fields. She holds a pomegranate in her hand. This card reminds that with power there is sacrifice, that by stepping into the full power of you that you will become more holy. This holiness and being willing to embrace the power of the female, the ability to bring life and to take life, to walk in the dark and in the light. She’s a reminder that you will have to sacrifice your neat and tidy stories you hold so dear. That power in women is often feared and their power is often denied. She walks in her power. She sheds what she was, it may not have been easy but Persephone is transformed into a woman of power.

What will you lose by stepping into your power and into Priestesshood? What is light without shadow?

The High Priestess- The Starchild Akashic Tarot

This woman is magick plain and simple, that is what she is. She knows what she is and embraces it without qualms. The High Priestess here knows and dares to push her boundaries. She dares to push your buttons and move you out of your comfort zones. The expansion of all you are is what she is interested in. How can she get you to see the power that resides in you and dares you to embrace it. The first lover of you is you and part of her magick is knowing this. She loves herself first and that allows her to be magick and weld it with love.
